Issue Description: During my home loan process at the HDFC Bank MG Road branch, the staff were discourteous, unprofessional, and repeatedly pressured me into buying insurance they tied to the loan—even though I already have valid term policies. This behavior appears to contravene RBI and IRDAI guidelines, which explicitly state banks cannot force borrowers to buy insurance from them or their affiliates.
It appears the branch prioritized meeting internal targets over respecting borrower rights. They are forcing me to take insurance tagged to home loan in order to proceed for loan disbursement to builder.

Date of Incident: 7/11/2025

Company’s Response: I went to home loan department MG road Bangalore branch for completing disbursement related formalities and they started pressuring me to buy the insurance in order to disburse the amount and clearly denied to disburse until i don’t by insurance from them

Additional Comments: They talked rudely to me and even manager available there was not helping seems they all are in same bucket. I want to disburse the amount else builder will start adding interest
